People’s Choice Photo Challenge | Best Face Photo in January

This week over at I Heart Faces their challenge is to display the best face photo from January. This is a photo of my Virginia Tech ZTA sorority sister from their engagement session and I think it really captures their happiness and love for each other. Isn't she just gorgeous? Everything about her sparkly eyes and his soft kiss seems so genuine.

Apple Orchard and Farm

Long ago while living in Boston and shortly after my husband and I first met, we took a trip to Russell Orchard in Essex Massachusetts. Not only did it have apples but it had wonderful animals, too. These photos have been tucked away for quite some time until rediscovered recently and then edited. The warmth and colors make me long for crisp Autumn. These were taken prior to Wells's military career and it's amazing to see how much he has changed in such a short amount of time. He's a darn good photographer, too even though he insists he has no idea what he's doing (he gets credit for the photos of me!). Click any image to enlarge. Enjoy.

Three Mutt-skateers!

What a riot it was to photograph these three pups as they raced around the yard in the snow. They were all so photogenic and fun that I couldn't stop snapping away. the FABULOUS Tyson & Ellie

Not only did I get to travel to the East Coast for the holidays but I had the chance to photograph a Virginia Tech friend's gorgeous dogs. Well, they were actually her parent's dogs and it was a surprise for their Christmas Present. LOVE IT! I am so drawn to dog people and always appreciate clients who just can't wait to have their dogs photographed. This client was no exception. Her parents love these dogs and it is evident. Tyson is a striking male Boxer and Ellie is a German Shepherd mix (Ellie must be short for elegant because she was!) Enough of the chatter, here's are the teasers! Click any image to enlarge. Hello 2011, goodbye soda. Last week my husband and I were on the east coast in Richmond, Virginia for Christmas. We saw more family than I knew I had and I finally got to meet and cuddle my new handsome nephew (photos to follow in another post). During our time there I did quite a few photoshoots that I will be posting over the next fews days. First up from my trip is a darling engagement session which had personal connection for me in two ways. One, this client was my ZTA sorority sister from my days at Virginia Tech, and two, she trusted me to do the shoot at my most favorite Richmond spot, an old abandoned airstrip next to my childhood home. Rockin! As is true with most of my engagement couples, they were newly engaged and their excitement translated beautifully into our session. Lauren is an absolute riot so this session was filled with old college laughs and news of our mutual friends from years past. It was an absolute delight and I had an impossible time choosing just 5 teasers so here is 7! Here you go...
