This camera is a total workhorse and great stepping stone while I save my pennies for a Canon 5D Mark III.
This is my everyday everything lens. If you're in the market for an L lens, this is an excellent place to start.
When it comes to close up portrait photography it doesn't get better than the 50mm f/1.4. This lens produces dreamy bokeh and tac sharp images.
If you're in the market for a flash this is a great place to start. I thought long and hard between the 430 and the 580 but the 430 was enough power for me since I prefer natural light and only use it as backup.
