Pike Place Market, Gumball Alley and Post Alley: a Seattle Engagement Session

I had the most wonderful trip last weekend to Gold Bar, WA with my husband Wells, my in-laws, brother and sister-in-law, nephews and, of course Neyland. He's our rescue lab that you'll see from time to time on my website because he is also my muse. Neyland is what started this project for me so I owe him a lot (lucky for me he accepts dog treats and belly rubs).

On the tail end of our trip Wells and I drove in to Seattle so I could meet up with Sally and Tony to document their engagement. I could think of no better venue than Pike Place Market. It is vibrant in every way: mongers tossing fish as they sing silly songs, Gumball Alley featuring walls covered in once-chewed gum (disturbing but a very unique and vibrant backdrop) and Post Alley which reminds me of strolling through the narrow brick streets of France. Divine.

Sally, Tony and their little poodle/chi mix Sasha, were awesome to work with. They are newly engaged as of Thanksgiving and boy does it show. They are so in love and it made my job of capturing their emotions delightful. These two were glowing and if you think I'm exaggerating, check out these teasers from their session and then visit www.freshgingersnaps.com to view the whole gallery:
